If your camcorder is older technology (analog), you have to use video capture device to capture the video stream into computer. If you have digital camcorder, you use the software provided by manufacture to download to computer through USB or 1394 card. If your digital camera can record video, you can use the memory reader device to download the video to computer or you use the software provided by manufacture to download to computer through USB. I use TMPGEnc to convert and compress to MPEG format. The video file download from digital camcorder and camera usually is very big. I use windows media encoder to compress to WMV format for very large file. I upload the video file to my web site through FTP. --------------------- |
